John Jurcheck is an Artistic Company Member at Curious Theatre Company where he has appeared as Timothy in Hand to God, Sam in The Flick, Stevie in Good People, Andrew in Becky Shaw, Big Stone in Eurydice, Wesley in Curse of the Starving Class, Cuffs in The Denver Project, multiple characters (and dialects) in Mall Mart: The Musical! and Shane Mungitt in Take Me Out. Later this season, John will be performing in the Curious commission and World Premiere of The Luckiest People. Other local credits include Jackie and Me (Denver Center Theatre Company), Metamorphoses (The Avenue Theater – The Denver Post Ovation Award: Best Ensemble), Bus Stop (Paragon Theatre), Wall of Water (Hunger Artists) and several seasons acting with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. John has also performed at the Chance Theater in Los Angeles, at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and got his professional start acting, singing, dancing and flying for three seasons with the San Diego Junior Theatre. John was a Teaching Artist with the Living History program and an actor with the elementary school touring show, both at Denver Center Theatre Company. He also spent several years as an actor, historical enactor, educator, facilitator and Project Developer at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and a few incredible months teaching English in Prague. John has served in many capacities at Curious over the years, including serving as Associate Producer and helping to launch Curious New Voices National Collective in 2014.
