Christy Montour-Larson – Director

Christy Montour-Larson has been a member of the Artistic Company at Curious Theatre Company for over 20 years and has directed 17 productions there, most recently EUREKA DAY, DOWNSTATE, TRUTH BE TOLD, and THE MINUTES.

Her Colorado directing credits include work at the Denver Center (TWO DEGREES, SHADOWLANDS, THE GIVER, WELL), the Arvada Center (THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, CABARET, ALL SHOOK UP), Creede Repertory Theatre (THE 39 STEPS, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, THE LAST ROMANCE), and Theatre Aspen, Theatre SilCo, TheatreWorks, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Aurora Fox, Local Theater, Town Hall, and Phamaly. Nationally, she has directed at Pioneer Theatre, Tent Theatre, New American Theatre, Rochester Civic Theatre, Duluth Playhouse, and Seven Devils.

A passionate supporter of new work, Christy has directed numerous staged readings and premieres, including STOCKADE by Andrew Rosendorf, YOU WILL GET SICK by Noah Diaz, THE OPEN HAND by Robert Caisley, GENERAL STORE by Brian Watkins, and THE RAPE OF THE SABINE WOMEN by Michael Yates Crowley.

Her work has been recognized with five Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Awards from 16 nominations, and she has been named Top Director by The Denver Post, Westword, and 5280 Magazine. She holds an MFA in Directing from Rutgers University.
