Curious’ Commitment to Making Our Venue Accessible for All

At Curious, we hold a steadfast commitment to enhancing accessibility within our venue, ensuring that it remains an inclusive space for all our patrons. We firmly believe that the enchantment of live entertainment should be available to everyone, regardless of their unique needs or challenges. We continuously seek feedback from our patrons to tailor our efforts, striving for ongoing improvements. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can fully enjoy our shows, unencumbered by barriers, and we are unwavering in our dedication to this endeavor.

In pursuit of our mission, we have introduced a comprehensive array of accessibility services and amenities, including:

1. Online Availability of Playbills: You can access our show’s Playbills conveniently through our website.
2. Hearing Devices on Request: We provide hearing devices upon request, with a valid ID, to enhance the auditory experience for all our guests.
3. Large Print Programs Available: For those in need, we offer large print programs upon request to ensure that everyone can fully engage with our show materials.
4. Multilingual Digital Content: Our digital content is accessible in the top 10 languages spoken within our community, ensuring that language is never a barrier to enjoying our offerings.
5. Accessible Bar at The Confessional: Our downstairs bar, The Confessional, is fully accessible, providing a welcoming space for all patrons to relax and enjoy refreshments.
6. Touch Tours: Touch Tours give our patrons who are visually impaired the opportunity to go up on stage and touch parts of the set and major pieces of scenery, props and costumes. This is to help audience members to immerse themselves in the imaginary world presented on stage. Touch tours are one hour before curtain on select performances. Reservations required. Free! 7. Relaxed Performances: These performances are ideal for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. It is a judgement free zone where many of the audience “rules” are relaxed. For example, we may leave the house lights up at just a pinch through the performance. Or, if you feel you need to leave the performance for any reason, you may. Most of our patrons will not notice very much different – if at all – in their experience. No reservations are required, and you can see which performance is dedicated to the relaxed environment on the show’s information page.
8. Closed Captioning: Soon, we’ll be offering closed captioning for select performances to make our shows accessible to those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
