Since 2020, we have weathered many challenges – the closing of our stages due to the pandemic, a collective grappling with racial reckoning or awakening, for some, the reopening of our stages all in the midst of the continued pandemic. As we exhale, we acknowledge more than ever that we have a lot of work to do regarding racial equality in our organization and beyond. We take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness.
Unequivocally, Curious continues to stand in full solidarity to eradicate the violence perpetrated against people of color in America. We believe that BLACK LIVES MATTER. We stand against all forms of racism. We firmly condemn violence against all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, including the particularly insidious violence against the Asian American Pacific Islander communities of recent past.
We at Curious remain fiercely committed to social justice and anti-racism. We have aspired to be a leader in demonstrating what the nexus between art and social justice looks like in application. Our organization is not perfect; we acknowledge that we still have work to do. We commit to doing that work to effectively generate transformational change.
